Yellow Composition, oil on board by Kulo Green (1913–1972). Minor paint loss can be expected, though it's hardly noticeable. Recently professionally reframed.

Frame dimensions: 39 × 53.5 cm.

In 1945, Kulo Green got his big break when, after an audition, he was accepted as a student of the renowned modernist Isaac Grünewald. He studied with Grünewald for a year, up until the artist’s death in a plane crash.

In 1947, Kulo was given another opportunity to continue his studies—this time at the Académie André Lhote in Paris. But despite these chances, he often felt misunderstood and creatively stifled by small-town life in Borås, Sweden. Tragically, his life ended on the railway tracks in 1972.
