Where it all began
It all started with a fondness for old buildings – those with a true sense of welcome. Heidi, our founder, grew up as the daughter of composers and church musicians, spending a lot of time in the quiet ambiance of churches. It might have been a bit dull at times, but these places also sparked her love for old things – for preserving them and the joy they bring to our homes.

The process
We spend much of our time searching for art, visiting dealers, exploring markets, and discovering pieces we believe deserve a new home.
Every work is carefully considered before it becomes part of the Vintage Works collection. We look at the quality, character, condition, and history of each piece, with a particular appreciation for the details that make it unique.
Framing is an important part of this process. Whenever possible, we preserve the original frame, as it is often an integral part of the artwork. Original frames frequently need some attention, and we have them carefully reviewed and cared for by a framer in Sweden. When a new frame is needed, we enjoy the process of finding a solution that complements the artwork, always with respect for the piece itself.
All our works are ready to be hung and enjoyed. We take care of the details so that when your piece arrives, it is ready to find its place in your home.
We believe buying vintage art should be an enjoyable experience. That means providing clear information, sharing additional images and videos when needed, and helping you find the right piece for your home.
And because every work is one of a kind, once it is sold, it is gone.

The marks of time, the craftsmanship, and the stories that may have been lost along the way all contribute to its character. We love the idea that these pieces can continue to be enjoyed, appreciated, and lived with for years to come.

Our Studio
Vintage Works is based in Southern Sweden, where we source, photograph, and prepare our collection of vintage art.
You are welcome to visit our studio by appointment. If you are unable to make the journey, we also share short videos of almost everything currently in stock, so you can take a closer look at the pieces from wherever you are.
We ship worldwide and are always happy to help with additional images, videos, or any questions you may have before making a purchase.
Whether you visit us in person or discover a piece online, we want the experience of finding art to feel personal, straightforward, and enjoyable.
