Where it all began
It all started with a fondness for old buildings – those with a true sense of welcome. Heidi, our founder, grew up as the daughter of composers and church musicians, spending a lot of time in the quiet ambiance of churches. It might have been a bit dull at times, but these places also sparked her love for old things – for preserving them and the joy they bring to our homes.

The process
Every piece in our shop could easily belong in our own home. That's our guiding principle. We carefully select 20th-century pieces with a keen eye for quality and beautiful patina that grows finer with time.
Sometimes, we find a painting with a less-than-lovely frame. But if the art is splendid but the frame isn't, we buy it anyway and take it to a professional framing workshop. With lamps, we ensure they shine safe and bright with updated wiring and a refreshed look.
The journey with lamps is often a long one. It's a dedicated search to find that perfect piece, especially when pairing it with the ideal vintage textile to go with the lampshade. It can take anywhere from a month to a year. But good things come to those who wait.
To care for each item, we team up with skilled craftspeople in Sweden – a framing workshop, a seamstress, a lampshade maker, and an electrician. Every piece is unique and is reviewed with love before we even consider selling it.
Pre-loved
Our items often originate from Swedish homes and have been pre-loved for many years. The paintings we find sometimes carry a little message on the back – a tribute to "Birgit on her 50th birthday" or a simple "From Mom." Sometimes, there's even a letter affixed to the back*. It's a lovely reminder that this piece has already had a life and is ready to start a new chapter. Place it wherever your intuition tells you to, and it will blend beautifully into your living space – traditional or contemporary.
*Of course, personal details are always shared with the utmost respect for the privacy of the previous owner.
