It is framed without glass on an aubergine passepartout with an oak frame, measuring 43.5 cm in height and 44.5 cm in width with the frame. The tapestry itself measures 32 cm in height and 34 cm in width.
Märta Måås-Fjetterström (1873-1941) is recognized as one of Sweden’s most influential textile artists. She employed skilled weavers to produce exceptional rugs and tapestries at her Båstad studio. Her work is featured in museums and institutions worldwide, and her studio continues to operate today.
Barbro Nilsson began her role in 1942 and served as the studio’s director for nearly three decades.
