Oil painting on canvas by Sven-Åke Lindengren (Ess-Å) (1929–2013), dated 1966. The work depicts a charming Swedish street scene from the time when Sweden still drove on the left-hand side of the road.

Presented in a lovely frame in good vintage condition, measuring 57 × 46 cm.

At times, Lindengren supported himself as a magician. He became a member of the Swedish Magic Circle in 1970 and also worked as a painting instructor for ABF between 1970 and 1975.

His art is characterized by a naïve style and vivid, expressive colours. Lindengren’s work is represented in the Gothenburg Museum of Art and the Värmland Museum.
